This zine explores Cornwall’s culture and language, Kernewek. I wanted to make something that advocated for Kernewek as it’s the least known of the Celtic languages, with only around 500 recorded speakers. I also wanted to celebrate my home County and make a zine that would be of interest to both locals and visitors. Whilst working on this project I contacted Kowethas an yeth Kernewek (the Cornish language fellowship) and spoke to one of their coordinators to gather feedback and advice on translations. Materials for this zine include painted paper collage, lino print, and digital software.
